For both the RT/10 Roadster and the GTS Coupe: STARTECH introduces an exclusive tuning program for all Chrysler Viper models at the Essen Motor Show. The STARTECH accessory line comprises engine upgrades, a height-adjustable suspension, a high performance brake system featuring the largest components ever to be installed on a street-legal vehicle, modular 20-inch wheels and interior accoutrements.
To help this American muscle car perform even better, STARTECH offers different stages of engine tuning. As a first step, the STARTECH S1 kit provides a high performance exhaust system and stainless steel headers to mobilize additional 45 hp / 33kW. This kit enables the Viper to leap in only 3.9 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h and on to a top speed beyond 300 km/h.
In order to safely control this enormous potential, STARTECH has conceived a specially tuned suspension and a high performance brake system. The striking appearance of this 2-seater is underscored by STARTECH Monostar V spoke-design wheels.These modular light alloy wheels are sized 11J x 20 in front, using 275/35 ZR 20 tires. The 13.5J x 20 wheels in the rear are shod with 335/30 ZR 20 high performance tires and provide a large contact patch for optimum traction.
These substantial wheels are required to install the STARTECH high performance brake system, employing the biggest components ever to be used on a street legal sports car. The front features vented and slotted rotors, 405 mm in diameter, paired with six-piston fixed aluminum calipers. The rear axle carries 355 mm rotors and two-piston calipers. These units maintain maximum deceleration under racing conditions. The STARTECH sport suspension was bred on the race track: The shocks are fully adjustable for both compression and rebound, the ride height of the Viper can be set to the customer¹s preference. The STARTECH accessory line for the Chrysler Viper covers interior modifications as well. An aluminum shift knob and pedals add a sportive touch, while complete leather interiors in any desired color give proof of the masterly handicraft executed by STARTECH's upholstery shop. |
