Performance tuning to 269 hp / 198 kW and exclusive design for bodywork and interior: TechArt Automobildesign now offer a complete tuning programme for the new Porsche Boxster S, too.
The TechArt 086 S/2 performance kit contains a high performance system completely made from stainless steel, a special air filter system with corresponding induction pipe and a recalibrated ECU. This tuning kit is a bargain and can be fitted within 4.5 hours labour. Beside the power increase from standard 252 hp / 185 kW to 269 hp / 198 kW, maximum torque grows to 332 Nm what improves low end propulsion power. The acceleration figure from 0 - 100 km/h is reduced to 5.3 seconds, maximum speed is increased to 268 km/h.
TechArt Automobildesign also provides custom-made aerodynamics components for the roadsters body: The range reaches from front and rear spoiler over special side skirts up to the TechArt Widebody bodywork conversion.
This wide body version with put-on fender flarings at front and rear axle makes the mid engine sportscar approx. eight centimeters wider. Beside spectacular, sporty design the TechArt designers of course especially paid attention to optimal aerodynamic efficiency. The TechArt front spoiler bumper reduces the lift at the front axle and improves the cooling of the front brakes with its integrated air ducts. At high speeds, the TechArt rear spoiler presses the rear wheels on the road.
Extremely wide wheels and tyres make the TechArt Widebody concept for the Boxster complete: Especially for this Widebody version there were developed special versions of the three-piece TechArt Daytona five spoke wheel. At the front axle there is used the dimension 8.5Jx18, at the back of the car there is space for 11Jx18 rims under the fender flarings. As a result of extensive test drives, TechArt Automobildesign recommends ContiSportContact high performance tyres of the sizes 225/40 ZR 18 and 285/30 ZR 18 for the Widebody based on the Porsche Boxster S. Of course TechArt also offers different wheel/tyre combinations for all Boxster models with standard bodywork. The range contains one-piece and modular wheels in 17 and 18-inch diameter. The choice of suspensions is just as individual: The owner of the two-seater car has the choice between a pure lowering kit with progressive springs and the height-adjustable TechArt sports suspension which doesn`t only individually set up the damping but also lowers the car by 20 - 35 millimeters.
TechArt Automobildesign also developed a folding top control for the Porsche Boxster which allows opening and closing of the top by a single touch of the button up to a maximum speed of 40 km/h. Being famous all over the world as specialists for exclusive interiors, TechArt offers individual full-leather trims in all colors and design for the Boxster S, too. The range reaches from the completion of the ex-works available leather upholstery up to the completely new designed cockpit with special sports-seats and ergonomically formed airbag-sports steering wheel.
For an optimal and safe placing of the car phone or cellular phone within reach, there is offered a custom-made console in all colors. The tuner also supplies particularly tuned HiFi-systems with VDO dayton components and TechArt three-way loudspeakers which are integrated inside the roadster using special consoles. In addition there is also available an installation console for the assembly of a VDO dayton navigation system. |
